Who we are
Sunflower Rescue Foundation is a child-focused humanitarian non-governmental organization dedicated to the prevention, rescue, rehabilitation, and empowerment of vulnerable children and teenagers aged 6 to 19 years in Nigeria. The Foundation exists to prevent harm and to provide lasting solutions where damage has already been done, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.
Through a holistic and compassionate approach, the Foundation addresses the emotional, psychological, educational, moral, and vocational needs of minors exposed to abuse, neglect, homelessness, crime, or socio-economic hardship.
Sunflower Rescue Foundation is registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission as Sunflower Rehabilitation and Empowerment Foundation (CAC Reg. No. 9449136).
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of Sunflower Rescue Foundation is to prevent child and teenage vulnerability while rescuing and restoring children and teenagers aged 6 to 19 who have been affected by abuse, neglect, exploitation, or disadvantage. The Foundation provides comprehensive support including rescue intervention, rehabilitation, counseling, therapy, shelter, educational assistance, and empowerment programs.
Sunflower Rescue Foundation strengthens child-support systems through collaboration with the Nigerian Police, churches, schools, vocational institutions, and community stakeholders to create safe, nurturing, and conducive environments for children and teenagers.
